Education
The Aztec children were raised by their parents until they reached age of fifteen years old (for the boys). If the children did not behave when they were at home, they would be punished. One of the punishments is holding your children over a chili pepper fire where they hade to breathe in the spicy some until they had learned their lesson. When boys reached the age of 15, they would go to a school which is called a telpuchcalli ("house of youth"). In the Aztec society, women where considered that they had less importance than men did, so they got taught at home. They started spinning at the age of 4 and they learned how to cook at the age of 12. The schooling from girls was the basic training fro when they get married to someone. However, the girls that were nobles got to spend a year helping in the temples at the age of thirteen or maybe twelve.

for the people. Aztec Farmers grew beans, squash, avocados, tobacco, hemp, and peppers but the most important crop was corn. Apart from trading crops,
Aztec's also traded raw materials, jewellery, wood and even medicines to cure a particular illness. In the Aztec economy, there were 2 different
types of currency which were; cotton textiles and cacao beans, the main
ingredient for chocolate. Cacao beans were used to make hot chocolate, and due to its high cost, it was only drunk by the nobles. The Aztecs conducted a trade with their primary enemy, the Tarascan Empire. They were the Aztecs only source that could trade bronze and copper goods. Obsidian blades were used by the Aztecs in everyday life by all the workers. The Aztecs usually used them as razors, sickles, scrapers, drills, arrow heads, and knives. Obsidian blades are extremely sharp, so they were good to work with. The Aztecs mainly got their Obsidian from Otumba and Pachuca.
